Count Down to October Tree Distribution - 2 weeks!

Our project team is counting down the weeks to our October Tree Distributions! We will be distributing 100 more trees over the fourth weekend in October!
All trees will be planted on non-NYC Parks jurisdiction property such as private property, schools, colleges, and community centers within the project area. Eligible private land planting locations include trees in front or side yards, trees visible to the public and providing significant community benefits, and trees planted on private property that is open to the public.
Travers Park, Jackson Heights
Location: 78th Street and 34th Avenue
Date & Time: Friday, October 23rd from 1pm - 5pm
Moore Homestead Playground, Elmhurst
Location: 82nd Street and Broadway
Date & Time: Saturday, October 24th from 10am – 2pm
Park of the Americas, Corona
Location: 41st Avenue and 104th Street
Date & Time: Sunday, October 25th from 10am – 2pm
Join our project team in collaboration with Partnership for parks in November to plant street trees in North Corona!
Volunteers will plant a street tree in North Corona! And be trained in proper planting techniques to feel comfortable and confident to plant your new tree!

Tree Distribution Recap
200 more trees were distributed for planting in the Central Queens neighborhoods - Jackson Heights, Elmhurst and Corona - over the first weekend this May!
On Friday, May 1st, our project team distributed 61 trees at Travers Park in Jackson Heights from 1pm - 5pm.
On Saturday, May 2nd, another 75 trees were distributed at Moore Homestead Playground in Elmhurst from 10am - 2pm.
On Sunday, May 3rd, our project team distributed the final 64 trees at Park of the Americas in Corona from 10am - 2pm.
